Welcome!

cowgirl style

despite being from texas, i am not a cowgirl in any sense of the term. like at all. in fact i'm quite anti it most of the time. however, since moving to houston, you just cant seem to escape the "yeehaw!" vibe during rodeo season, which is precisely what we find ourselves in right now. not only is there a "Go Texans!" day but there are many rodeo theme parties to attend, so stella needed some official garb. i picked up a jean jacket and some boots (which technically arent cowgirl boots, more of a motorcycle boot) and dolled her up with some pigtails for the twin's birthday party. she looked so cute i could have eaten her up.

after running around looking cute, it was time to get down to business. cookie decorating time!  this was such a good idea, the kids had so much fun.  do make sure to note that stella is the only child with a balloon.  the girl is obsessed.

stella of course couldnt wait to dive in immediately, so she just watched everyone decorate theirs.

i'd have to say that cameron was the most dedicated of  the cookie artists.  his icing and sprinkling skills were admired by all.

of course, the big boys wouldnt miss out on this opportunity for some sweetness.

and i couldnt either...

i'm telling you, its hard to beat an iced sugar cookie on a stick. yum!
