got back from our week vaca in puerto rico. had so much fun, best part of the trip.....sleeping in!! haha. it was a grand ol time, lots of sun, hiking, eating, shopping, lounging, and so much more. highlight of the trip was hiking through the rainforest all day and meeting a really fun couple who we later rented a car and drove around the island with. also, seeing a truck with the loudest and largest sound system i have ever seen. oh and the rolls royce at the guido beach we found...and almost dying in the undertow at the random beach we found while driving around...and the fortresses! and the colors! and our hotel, oh my god our hotel. it was perfect in so many ways. it was truly one of the best trips we've done, albeit too short to really do all that we wanted to do. next time will have to be bring stella along and stay a month! (srsly)
El Convento Hotel - small boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan, originally Carmelite Convent during the Conquistador era (over 350 years ago!) it has been refurbished into an amazing hotel with the most beautiful architectural details. and in much less interesting, non-historical trivia, its also where jlo and marc antony spent their wedding night

the courtyard

the courtyard awaiting a wedding saturday night

La Concha Hotel on Condado beach - club vibe...casino in hotel. we were told over and over that this was the best new hotel in the area, but not really our scene, so had one drink and left
the love bug machine...kyle's pet name for stella is love bug, so we had to try, of course we lost.

puerto rican food restaurant...the originality of the name blows me away
