we river housed it again this weekend, this time with some friends. it was a nice relaxing weekend, the guys had a lot of man time, the girls had a lot of wine.
it is hot as balls here now, i feel like summer happened over night. may was perfect california weather, and i feel like as soon as june 1 hit, the temp rose to 100 degrees. anyway, here is the breakdown of events....
Friday
had an appointment at the art institute of houston, thinking about going back to school but am absolutely amazed at the tuition cost for an associates degree. INSANE!
got down the river around 8pm, to be swarmed by the largest nest of mosquitos i have ever seen. disgusting.
after fogging the yard and opening the blinds and putting the babies to sleep, the drinking rumpus began.
looked at constellations with our stargazing apps (got to love technology).
made hot dogs for dinner well into the morning hours for a sobering effect.
saturday
cinnamon roll, bacon and coffee for breakfast
boat ride with the babies! jett enjoyed himself immensely, but stella was not having it. in an attempt to calm her down i gave her some snacks. this worked for 2 minutes before she choked and we had a major panic attack. she fell right to sleep after choking incident and the rest of the boat ride was relaxing. sadly, no porpoises this time.
the guys had serious boy time on the dock, catching crabs, shooting beebee guns, trying to fix the boat (some reason after we got back from out boat ride it wouldnt start) and drinking beer.
drank salty dogs
grilled the juiciest steaks ever, made cookies, had existential conversation and to bed early.
Sunday
clean up time...watering, mowing, laundry, packing
sadly, no more boat rides :(
