we had a relaxing weekend around the house this weekend, did lots of domesticated activites and laid around a lot. i did get around to making a chocolate meringue pie and it was absolutely amazeballs...we finished it in 2 days, no lie.
we did some gardening and cleaned up around the outside...anyone who has spent anytime outside the past few weeks knows the azaleas are in full bloom...they are quite the show stopper this time of year. our puney bushes produced quite the blooms this year, they look so pretty and pink...
kyle added some more roses to our tiny bunch. they are looking spectacular...
kitty thinks so too. he likes to help us dig the holes for things.
our wisteria is coming back! i thought this guy was a goner for sure after the winter we had, but he's held strong and there are at least 5 new buds...i cant wait to smell them.
during one of our many walks around the bayou this weekend, kyle picked me a sprigs of bluebonnets (shhhhhh...dont tell the officials :) )...they look so pretty proped up in a mason jar.
thats about it, nothing much to update on these days. the big construction on our house is supposed to start tomorrow so this is probably the last time things will look orderly for the next few months!
