so yesterday, after eating some declicious greek food, we got a jolt of energy to finish the carpet rip out and tackled our bedroom floors. 
To our suprise, halfway through the floors changed from plywood to hardwoods!?! now, the hardwoods are completely stained/paint splattered/tarnished/dented, but i sort of love that not-too-perfect look. we're stumped as to what to do now. underneath this layer is another layer of the original hardwoods from 1920 when the house was built, so we could pull up this layer and expose the original wood, we could try to finish out the area that is plywood, or we could lay new floors on top. decisions, decisions. for now, we're just going to go to mexico and worry about it later. haha.

i gave an old rug that my boss passed down to us a lot of TLC and laid that down for some consistency and to cover up the plywoods as much as possible. the style of the room is horrible, bear with me on that, but anything is better than that nasty, dirty carpet.
