mr. cox and i have finally done some noticeable work to our teeny bungalow. its nothing huge, just the removal of a few cabinets which were then replaced by floating shelves. we also got rid of the granny railing and molding that lined the top of all the cabinets (the granny backslash is still in full effect). i bought one of those magnetic strips to hang our knives and i trashed the bulky wood block to save some counter space...soooo all in all the kitchen feels so much more open and its so much easier to cook now! (i forgot to take before photos...but imagine huge cabinets (one with a memaw clock in it) hanging over the island...and by island i mean the giant counter space in the middle of the kitchen making it impossible for us to have a normal-sized kitchen table).


also i've rearranged the pictures in the living room, i'm terrible at measuring and leveling (sir kyle is the master of that) so it looks a little wonky, but i think it still gets the point across.
